The starting situation
A project was created for pumps in order to transport flooding wax within the framework of constructing a system in order to seal hollow spaces in the automobile industry. The requirements placed on the pumps were low-pulsation transport, high metering accuracy and capable of transporting highly viscous products.
The solution
Progressive cavity pumps satisfy all of these requirements, therefore a decision was made to use this kind of pump. Other criteria such as long service life and low maintenance requirements soon meant that seepex was selected. Due to installation restrictions and the versatility of a seepex progressive cavity pump the BE range was selected. They are suspended vertically in the material container to save space and transport the wax directly to the systems that apply the wax to the pre-treated chassis.
