Process Brewing Industry and Distilleries

Corn and fruit are the natural and high-quality basic components of many foods. They rank among the products used to manufacture alcoholic drinks by way of fermentation or destillation. It is absolutely necessary to ensure that the quality of the products is kept at a constantly high level of quality throughout the production process of alcoholic drinks. The aggregates used in this respect must not produce any shear forces that would have a detrimental effect on the quality and structure of the products. In addition to the careful production procedure, the saving of energy or its recovery and further availability for other process stages is increasingly coming to the fore. The sophisticated seepex pump technology optimises entire processes and ensures that a product's high quality can be maintained.
In the case of conveying mash, grains and hops, seepex progressive cavity pumps are the first choice, which also applies to the transport of yeast and hop extract. Contrary to conventional procedures, the pump transports in particular the grains by using considerably less energy.
A particular application refers to the mixture of corn and water for subsequent transfer to the mash pan. In this respect the mixing is carried out directly in the pump's inlet hopper in a closed system - safe, gentle and cost-effective.
