drinktec 2005 From September 12 to 17 2005, drinktec 2005 presented the international range of Beverage and Liquid Food Technology on the fairground in Munich. 1,400 exhibitors from 50 countries showed technologies and system solutions for the whole process chain on a surface area of 137,000 m²: from production to filling and packaging to distribution. 70,000 trade visitors from 161 countries made clear the high significance of this trade fair in the international drinks industry.
The focus of the seepexexhibition for drinktec 2005 was on the brewery and juice industry. Thus, we presented the sectional models of the BTM and BCSO pumps.
A special characteristic of the open hopper pump range BTM, is the patented macerator integrated into the compression zone. The knives on the rotating conveying screw macerate the fed products in combination with the cutting tools, fastened in the compression housing. For the first time, the pump integrated into a closed system permits oxidation-free macerating of whole fruit/vegetables or pieces of fruit/vegetables in the juice production with direct conveying in the following. The most cost-effective and efficient solution to convey waste vegetables is a seepex open hopper range BTM pump, instead of time-consuming and costly conventional systems such as compressed air, water flushing, or other conveying systems. Because the BTM pump can shred conveyed waste so effectively, the waste volume is reduced by as much as one-third of the initial volume. The volume reduction is the key success in reducing waste disposal costs.
seepex macerators macerate the solid and fibrous components in the conveying medium, thus increasing the operating safety and service life of the downstream seepex pumps and other machinery.
For fruit and vegetable processing, milk and dairy industry and others the pumps of the BCSO range are equipped with open aseptic joints that can be cleaned without leaving residues through CIP continuous cleaning. They meet highest demands on hygienic cleanliness and on corrosion and wear resistance. Just like all the pumps of the BCSO range, these joint designs comply with the regulations of the 3A-Sanitary Standards of the USA and the EHEDG directives.
The majority of contacts on our trade fair stand could be allocated to the brewery industry, whereby the number of end consumers and plant engineers were about the same. A lot of visitors were new contacts and 50% of our visitors came from overseas.
Altogether, many good and promising talks were conducted with interested parties and customers. In terms of quality the trade fair was thus a complete success for seepex.
The next drinktec will take place from September 14 to 19 2009, in the Neue Messe Munich.
