The significance of service is reflected in our “10 point program” which describes all aspects of seepex service.
1. Consulting The first priority of this program is, of course, advice oriented towards the reduction of life cycle costs. Installation and commissioning costs, energy consumption, maintenance and repair costs, downtime and production stoppage costs are kept as low as possible by optimal design of each pump in accordance with the specific application.
2. Commissioning If a seepex pump is to operate without any problems and therefore economically, it must be installed and commissioned correctly. So, we offer to do this service. Just tell us about any special installation requirements. Our service engineers or highly experienced, qualified and authorised partners will then perform the actual installation work.
3. Monitoring The developers and engineers at seepex invented a remote diagnostic system, so that the corresponding parameters could be measured, evaluated and documented continuously. The latest sensors allow even the slightest wear or initial dry running through heating to be recognised, resulting in an immediate response. This system allows us to make full use of the life of critical pump components and at the same time coordinate maintenance work exactly with each production plan.
4. Service contracts For the "lasting customer satisfaction" regular function tests will help to maintain the value of your installation and make your production process more reliable. The cover ranges from “maintenance according to cost”, “inspection contracts”, up to and including the “full service contract”.
5. Repair service If a pump actually has to be repaired you can simply entrust it to a member of our Repair Service department. Each service report is allocated a service number under which all the processes and stages of the repair work are filed. This enables us to schedule and plan the work flow connected with the pump(s) to be repaired. It also has the advantage that the customer can ask about the progress of the repair at any time.
6. Original spares The logistic organization of our sales and service partner network allows us to deliver spares promptly and therefore, to minimise costs relating to downtime and production stoppages.
7. Rental pumps We even supply pumps to rent. We are happy to offer you models from our rental fleet for the case that you want to bridge production peaks or a fast replacement is needed if a pump fails. Our rental fleet include pumps for all product groups and ranges, i.e. standard pumps, hopper pumps, dosing pumps, semi-submerged pumps, food pumps and macerators.
8. Trial pumps If necessary, or if you wish, we will make trial pumps available to you. We supply you with this trial pump for a certain period of time. If it is confirmed that the seepex model improves the production process, then you take over the pump. If our prediction is wrong, our customers have no liability.
9. Training As a further service specially for interested customers and service partners, we organise seminars in Bottrop, in our offices and branches or even on site. Covering both theory and practice, the handling of our products, their design and functioning, applications, installation/dismantling, service and repair are being trained. Finally, we always concentrate on the reduction of life cycle costs. For anyone who has learned about the inner workings of pumps and understands how to maintain them also knows how their value is preserved in the long run and maintenance costs are reduced.
