The Rotor

seepex rotors are characterized by high-quality surfaces. To ensure this quality and guarantee the corresponding surface qualities, state-of-the-art machining, abrading and coating procedures are required. Using various grinding and polishing procedures, the surface roughness depth is reduced, which enhances the wear and corrosion resistance as well as the friction and hardness characteristics.

Advantages of an optimum surface
  • Reduction of the starting torque and operation torques
  • Improvement of the hydraulic-volumetric efficiency
  • Smooth operation characteristic
  • Increased service life

The Stator

As a rule, seepex stators are manufactured individually for every size and pressure stage. Stators made to specification makes it possible to manufacture stators with sealing flanges on both pipe ends.

This reliable seal protects the stator against torsion and prevents medium from penetrating the rubber-metal connection. This seal is mandatory when handling toxic or aggressive products and to meet the high hygienic requirements of the food industry.
  Zoom
Only the perfect interaction between rotor and stator guarantees high degrees of efficiency and low driving power. For this reason, the consistent geometry between the two conveying elements is crucial. The optimised production process with corrected cores prevents strong tapering at the ends of the stator. The result is an even dimensional run along the entire length of the stator.

Advantages of the optimised Stator
  • High volumetric efficiency rates
  • Low driving powers
  • Low starting and operation torques
  • High pressure stability across the entire speed range
  • Reliable sealing
  • Service-friendly; additional gaskets are not required
