Flue Gas Desulfurization

Flue gas desulfurization is a procedure for cleaning waste gas that occurs during the incineration of sulphurous fuels. Different cleaning procedures are used to absorb the sulphur compounds. In this respect calcium washing as a wet procedure has asserted itself worldwide due to the high separation efficiency and the cost-effective and constantly available absorbents. The uncleaned flue gas is cleanedby a wash suspension consisting of water and calcium, calcium hydroxide or chalk. seepex pumps are used during the cleaning process to convey wash suspensions.
Due to the high material resistance, in particular with regard to the chloride component, combined with a high safety level of shaft sealing, the seepex pumps have proved reliable components in the complex area of flue gas desulfurization.
