Sludge Dewatering

Process Sludge Dewatering

The typical procedures involving sewage sludge dehydration are the thickening, for example in thickening containers, or dehydration via sludge drying beds. The automated sewage sludge dehydration is used for the ongoing dehydration. seepex progressive cavity pumps are used for feeding the dehydration machines and for metering the chemical auxiliary aids.
In the case of dehydration by way of centrifugal decanters, rotary filters, belt presses and further dehydration machines, the sludge reaches a DS content of 20% to 45%. Pumps of the T product group even convey these highly dehydrated sludge types without any problems.
