Process Paper Industry

A modular design has been developed to satisfy the requirements of the paper and cellulose industry. Standard geometry, 6L geometry and tricam-geometry with short and long pitch guarantee the respective best possible adjustment. Optimised geometries with the highest possible metering accuracy are available for pulsation sensitive processes. seepex progressive cavity pumps satisfy the highest requirements of the technical and highly developed paper manufacturing and coating and laminating operations.

With regard to pump designed for the paper and cellulose industry, the shaft seals execution is a very crucial aspect. The gland packing has long been seen as the standard. In this respect a buffer fluid used in the case of increasing requirements reduces the penetration of the conveying medium in the packing, guarantees the lubrication of the shaft and reduces wear-and-tear. This type of shaft seal is cost-effective and sturdy - maintenance is simple. However in the meantime the mechanical seal is increasingly coming into the fore. The reasons for this include statutory environmental requirements, increasing technical requirements and economical considerations.
seepex is using mechanical seals of various manufacturers with due regard to the qualities of various media and operating conditions. The designs of the mechanical seals range from single-acting - with or without quench or sealing liquid - to double-acting here among others in the cartridge design. To convey simple chemical auxiliary aids and adhesives right up to the pigments and the coating colour, one criterium of the market is the uniform design of the mechanical seals within a paper mill.
