A day on which our trainees did not work in the company, but instead actively supported social organizations.
"I hope I am able to do something good for the children today," said Bünyamin Gürses, cutting mechanic apprentice at SEEPEX. Together with Thomas Fockenberg and Alex Heiming, the trainees gave a helping hand at the Bottrop Caritas Children's Village.
Industrial playground equipment was repaired and newly glazed, the swing was fitted with new supporting beams and a new terrace was paved to provide children with a safe place to play.
The day was marked by a strong sense of good will. Our 20 trainees achieved a lot in the various social organizations. In addition to the children's village, support was also provided to the Protestant kindergarten, the day care center and the senior citizens' center "Shady Beech".
"Unfortunately, social commitment is not as common nowadays. But the day showed me that social institutions need this kind of support," summed up Alina Fluder, industrial clerk trainee at SEEPEX. She worked together with other trainees on the construction of a new terrace and was happily assisted by the children from the organization.
We are certain that we will continue to support the Social Day next year in order to make a joint contribution to society.
We would like to thank our trainees for their strong commitment and active support.
