Also received with great enthusiasm was the so-called ‘back truck’ – equipped with computerized training devices, where sport scientists introduced participants to the exercises. Every week for the next ten weeks the back truck will be on the premises. “The high participation reflects the high level of interest. Many training days in the back truck have already been fully booked,” said Melissa Winkel, HR employee at SEEPEX.
Back problems and spine diseases are among the most common illnesses in work settings. Around 25% of sick days are because of these illnesses. An important aspect of workplace health management is taking preventative measures by promoting health and wellness for employees.
At SEEPEX people are our priority. “We take employee health issues very seriously: for example, in our production hall we have ergonomic workstations with height-adjustable assembly tables and lifting aids for load transport that go beyond the legal requirements,” explained Jürgen Fortmüller, Human Resources Manager. “The large number of participants in the Health Day shows us that health issues are also a high priority for our employees,” concluded Jürgen Fortmüller.
