Food and hygienic pump with closed pin joints

Versatile applications: The BCSB food pump from SEEPEX fulfills the requirements of many applications in the food, cosmetics and chemical industries. The materials of the individual components are food-certified (FDA / EU 1935-2004). The joints, which are hermetically sealed by elastomer sleeves and therefore particularly wear-resistant, ensure a long service life. It can be cleaned using CIP, SIP and COP methods for optimal hygiene.

Technologies, accessories and options

Dry running protection / TSE

TSE monitors the temperature of the rotating stator and shuts down the pump when the limit value is reached to protect the pump from dry running.

Seal barrier system

This unit protects the shaft sealing by selectively supplying barrier liquid. Also available with flow meter on request.

Overpressure Protection

The pressure gauge switches off the pump as soon as a pre-set pressure is exceeded or not reached and protects the pump from increased wear and tear or piping damage.

Standard base plate

Short base plate B with geared motor for all standard applications.

Multiple-acting mechanical seal

Mechanical seals arranged in a row. Available in "back-to-back", "face-to-face" or "tandem" sequence.

Single-acting mechanical seal

Universal standard mechanical seal for dosing, food applications and semi-submersible pumps for sealing the plug-in shaft in the suction casing or the hopper.

Pressure branch

Made of stainless steel, with internally polished finish and externally satin finish. Allows effective draining. Connection: pipe coupling to DIN, Tri Clamp® or any other known sanitary fitting.

Rotor

Wear resistant and corrosion-resistant materials. Optionally with hard surface treatment.

With short pitches and a compact design, the conventional geometry produces high pressures.

6L geometry

With a small rotor diameter and a long pitch, the 6L geometry attains lower surface velocities and extends the service life due to its large sealing line.

Stator

In food-grade materials according to FDA, BfR and EU 1935-2004 and follows pharma regulations according to several USP classes. Light and black materials in equal wall or standard design available. Optimal, hygienic sealing of the stator through integrally molded sealing surface.

6L geometry

With a small rotor diameter and a long pitch, the 6L geometry attains lower surface velocities and extends the service life due to its large sealing line.

Equal Wall Stator

The stator with uniform wall thickness is used in situations with very high pressures or temperatures.

Coupling rod

Made of stainless steel for power transmission. Available with propellers or feed screw.

Closed pin joint

With or without joint sleeve, which protects the grease-filled joints from penetration of the pumped liquid.

Drive

Geared motors, variable speed drives or frequency controlled motors of all major manufacturers, directly flanged to the pump without additional couplings or guards. Covers made of stainless steel are available.

Lantern

A corrosion resistant design, optionally made of stainless steel, connects the pump and drive and secures the assembly to the base plate or skid.

Plug-In shaft

Designed for easy CIP, made of stainless steel and designed to mount the mechanical seal in food grade material.

Plug-In shaft connection

For easy dismantling of the pump and drive enabling quick replacement of the rotating parts and shaft seals. The plug-in shaft pin secures the shaft connection to the drive and the splash ring both secures the plug-in shaft pin and protects the bearings from contamination / gland leakage. Easy access to the pump and drive enables quick replacement of the rotating parts and shaft seals.

Mechanical seal

Flushed by the product and located inside the suction area for optimal cleaning.

Mechanical seal housing

Made of stainless steel for mounting the mechanical seal, available with or without quench.
