Filter press feeding
During filter press filling, pressure rises when layers of solids accumulate on the filter media. When the pressure rises too quickly, it can lead to premature compaction of the solids. This results in erratic or incomplete filling of the press with correspondingly long filtration times. Dewatering is also negatively impacted. Premature compaction of the solids can be prevented by controlling the feed rate based upon the inlet pressures.

The ratio of feed rate to pressure can be adjusted with the SEEPEX “FPPU” control system, ensuring that dewatering processes are adjusted to the different types of sludge. In this proven filling process, the filtration pressure is used as a process parameter for the filling rate of the press.
Variant FPPU
PLC with integrated liquid crystal display. Extension modules can provide upgrades to control up to four filter presses at once. A “Bus” connection to an existing control system is already integrated into the software. The system will allow for up to 20 individual, user-specific filling characteristic curves.

Variant LC-FPPU
Up to 3 frequency inverters can be networked and programmed via CAN bus. System designed for 9 individual user-specific filling characteristic curves.
