Digital solutions for pump operation at hall 15, booth G 43.24 (Pump Plaza)
The company has developed a holistic concept from digitally supported maintenance in virtual reality to pump management with simple spare part ordering and even data-driven services. At Pump Plaza in Hall 15, the company will be demonstrating how progressive cavity pumps can be intelligent field devices, and how to digitally monitor their operating parameters using SEEPEX Pump Monitor. The collected information can either be displayed locally in an app under the same name, in the customer’s control system or in the cloud. Warnings and alarms allow timely intervention to avoid downtime, and trend indicators and data capture facilitate further analysis. SEEPEX’s own cloud solution, Connected Services, plays a key role in all of this. Based on the information gathered in the field, SEEPEX customers will be offered extensive services, ensuring the optimal, continuous operation of their progressive cavity pump. “Our digital solutions take into account the fact that some companies are already using extensive online and remote services, while others are still limited to accessing pump information at the field level or in their control systems. We have different scalable solutions for both approaches,” says Dr. Christian Hansen, SEEPEX’s Vice President and CTO.
Maintenance in a few simple steps: Easy Maintenance solutions
In addition to various digital solutions, SEEPEX is presenting user-friendly maintenance concepts. The patented Smart Conveying Technology (SCT) not only facilitates quick changing of the rotor/stator unit, but significantly increases pump service life due to the integrated retensioning device.
SCT is supplemented by the newly developed split mechanical seal, known as Smart Seal Housing (SSH). This simplifies drive-side maintenance work on SCT pumps. Previously, the suction casing and pipework had to be removed, which could damage the mechanical seal. The SSH allows the stationary counter ring to be removed through the lantern for complete replacement of the mechanical seal, without laborious dismantling of pump parts. This solution not only reduces the workload to a few minutes, resulting in shorter downtime, but also saves money since the mechanical seals aren’t damaged during dismantling.
First progressive cavity pump module with driver software (MTP) in hall 11, booth D 44
In Hall 11, SEEPEX will be the first progressive cavity pump manufacturer to display a pump with MTP, which enables simple functional integration into production processes. In cooperation with the faculty of Automation Technology at the TH Köln, University of Applied Sciences and WAGO Kontakttechnik, a module-type package (MTP) has been developed, which can be imported into automation systems from different manufacturers to control numerous processes, such as dosing and filling, and makes HMI components available.
