E - Semi-submersible pumps

Poised to dive

SEEPEX semi-submersible pumps empty barrels, pits, basins and containers – efficiently, thoroughly, and environmentally friendly. They can even withstand the demands of abrasive or corrosive media with low to high viscosity. This makes them a cost-effective alternative to conventional pump systems, particularly in applications with critical suction heads or limited installation space.

Technologies, accessories and options

Overpressure Protection

The pressure gauge switches off the pump as soon as a pre-set pressure is exceeded or not reached and protects the pump from increased wear and tear or piping damage.

Cartridge mechanical seal

Ready-to-install pre-assembled units with supply connections and attachment brackets for quick replacement.

Single-acting mechanical seal

Universal standard mechanical seal for dosing, food applications and semi-submersible pumps for sealing the plug-in shaft in the suction casing or the hopper.

Tie bolts/screw

Corrosion proof, optional available in stainless steel design.

Rotor

Wear resistant and corrosion-proof materials, with additional surface treatment.

Conventional geometry

With short pitches and a compact design, the conventional geometry produces high pressures.

6L geometry

With a small rotor diameter and a long pitch, the 6L geometry attains lower surface velocities and extends the service life due to its large sealing line.

Tricam geometry

The rotor with Tricam geometry features a three-helix geometry. This enables it to achieve larger conveying capacities with the same overall length of the pump.

Stator

The seal on both ends is moulded as an integral part of the elastomeric stator. Corrosion of the stator tube is never a problem because the pumped liquid never comes into contact with the metal tube or the bonding adhesive.

Equal Wall Stator

The stator with uniform wall thickness is used in situations with very high pressures or temperatures.

Universal joint sleeve with holding bands

Protects the grease-filled joints from penetration of the liquid pumped, even in case of maximum vacuum or pressure loading. Streamlined design to reduce turbulence and NPSHr.

Pressure casing

With connections for pressure/vacuum gauge and mounting plate for fixing the pump. Flange connections in DIN or ANSI. Length according to customers specification.

Coupling rod

For power transmission. Improved design, special designs optional available.

Drive

Geared motors, variable speed drives or frequency controlled motors of all major manufacturers, directly flanged to the pump without additional couplings or guards. Covers made of stainless steel are available.

Shaft-sealing

Single-acting mechanical seal, independent of direction of rotation, with quench and supply tank (78 cm / 3 to 4 l) to protect the sliding surface against dry running.
