The MDTC range is the hygienic food grade version of the open hopper metering pump. It is used in a variety of applications in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries to convey low to highly viscous media with low flowability. The pumps meet the highest hygienic requirements; adhering to 3-A Sanitary standards and have FDA approval.
Compression zone increases capacity of conveying chamber resulting in process time and energy savings
Cavity design allows for conveyance of liquids, solids, and gases
Valveless flow control for ease of operation
Low slip (internal back flow) provides performance efficiency and less wear on components
Simple and predictive maintenance due to minimal components
Residue-free cleaning through Clean-in-Place (CIP) continuous cleaning
Made of stainless steel, polished inside, glass bead blown outside. Allows effective draining. Connection as standard to DIN, Tri Clamp® or any other known fittings
Optimized compression between the rotor and stator using wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials. A wide range of alloys, coatings and elastomers are available for each.
With short pitches and a compact design, the conventional geometry produces high pressures.
With a small rotor diameter and a long pitch, the 6L geometry attains lower surface velocities and extends the service life due to its large sealing line.
The rotor with Tricam geometry features a three-helix geometry. This enables it to achieve larger conveying capacities with the same overall length of the pump.
The seal on both ends is moulded as an integral part of the elastomeric stator. Corrosion of the stator tube is never a problem because the pumped liquid never comes into contact with the metal tube or the bonding adhesive.

Open barrel-shaped pin joints that can be cleaned effectively through CIP cleaning.
With two pin joints with hardened and wear resistant components, easily assembled, grease lubricated and positively sealed with elastomer sleeves and two holding bands.
Tailor-made selection of base plates. The base plates can be easily combined with different drives from all major manufacturers.
Rectangular feed hopper with conveying screw for pumping higly visous products.
Mechanical seal product flushed and located within the suction area for optimum cleaning.
Connects the drive shaft to the joint. With gland packing the plug-in shaft is used as a shaft protection sleeve. Upon request, it is available with wear resistant coating.
A corrosion resistant design, optionally made of stainless steel, connects the pump and drive and secures the assembly to the base plate or skid.
For easy dismantling of the pump and drive enabling quick replacement of the rotating parts and shaft seals. The plug-in shaft pin secures the shaft connection to the drive and the splash ring protects the bearing from contamination/gland leakage.
Geared motors, variable speed drives or frequency controlled motors of all major manufacturers, directly flanged to the pump without additional couplings or guards. Covers made of stainless steel are available.
The pressure gauge switches off the pump as soon as a pre-set pressure is exceeded or not reached and protects the pump from increased wear and tear or piping damage.
Universal standard mechanical seal for dosing, food applications and semi-submersible pumps for sealing the plug-in shaft in the suction casing or the hopper.
