Start of Apprenticeships at SEEPEX – Investing in the Future

Eight young talents began their apprenticeships at SEEPEX on Scharnhölzstraße at the beginning of August. By offering apprenticeship positions in both technical and commercial professions, the Bottrop-based pump specialist is once again making a targeted investment in the next generation of skilled professionals this year.

As in previous years, the apprentices are being trained as industrial clerks, industrial mechanics, mechatronics technicians, machining mechanics, and warehouse logistics specialists. New this year is the apprenticeship program for process mechanics specializing in coating technology, which is being offered for the first time. While SEEPEX has typically provided only a handful of apprenticeship positions in recent years, the trainers are delighted to welcome eight new apprentices this year.

During their training, the future industrial clerks gain insight into processes across nearly all administrative departments. For the technical apprentices, a modern training workshop located in the center of the production hall is available, where they are prepared for their future responsibilities through hands-on practical experience.

To ensure high-quality training, SEEPEX recently invested in a new CNC 3-axis machining center equipped with state-of-the-art control and programming software. The facility is reserved exclusively for apprentices. Here, they learn how to operate highly modern, fully automated turning and milling centers to manufacture complex steel components for pump production. “As a fully featured three-axis machining center, the machine provides exactly the quality and tolerance requirements that apprentices will encounter in future production environments,” explains Stefan Beissert, Head of Training.

The apprenticeship program provides these young professionals with a strong foundation for their future careers while also making an important contribution to the future success of the Bottrop-based company.
