Smart Air Injection (SAI) is a customized package unit with many varied applications. The innovative combination of progressive cavity pump and compressed air conveying results in a low-pressure level in the conveying pipeline. This results in an extended service life and reduced investment and operating costs.

In the food industry, especially in breweries and distilleries, SAI conveys hop and malt spent grains by means of controlled, compressed air pulses.

Technologies, accessories and options

Overpressure Protection

The pressure gauge switches off the pump as soon as a pre-set pressure is exceeded or not reached and protects the pump from increased wear and tear or piping damage.

Smart conveying technology

For rapid replacement of the rotor and stator. Maintenance downtime reduced by up to 85%.

Air injection

Compressed air is pulsed into the pipeline to convey the pre-compacted sludge plug.

Smart Rotor and Smart Stator

The steel rotor, together with the stator made of an elastomer, forms sealed chambers. The rotation of the rotor conveys the medium through the pump.

Air receiver

For storing and releasing compressed air from the upstream compressor.

Extension hopper

Connected to the upstream dewatering machine. Controls the pump speed with a level sensor.

System protection

Hopper pump and SAI system are fully protected with safety functions such as dry running and overpressure

BT pump

Large rectangular hopper pump, screw conveyor and a compression zone, it effortlessly conveys highly viscous products with low flowability.
