The Model PVP 837 Portable Davit Crane is designed to aid in maintenance when elastomeric replacement is required in larger Double Disc Pump™ models, including 6DDSX76, 6DDSX107 and 8DDDX214.
The crane, which mounts into a socket assembly that is bolted to the pump frame, requires no additional support, floor or overhead attachment and allows for a 360° rotation of the crane assembly. For installations with multiple pumps, the socket and crane assembly can be quickly moved to each pump frame. Additionally, each frame can be equipped with a socket for even faster crane attachment.
The PVP 837 Portable Davit Crane is manufactured from SS304 material. It comes equipped with a Thern® friction winch with automatic disc brake for load control and corrosion resistant galvanized cable.
This device lifts the pedestal drive assembly and keeps it suspended while allowing the upper discharge trunnion to be replaced. The automatic disc brake control provides effortless raising and lowering of the pedestal assembly, eliminating any lifting requirement by maintenance personnel.
The crane is designed specifically for the weight of the drive assembly and should not be used for lifting other equipment or people. The crane has a lift capacity of 500 pounds.
