W - Wobble Pumps: Reliable Performance Across All Industries

Compact Pump For Cost-efficient Fluid Handling

Economical, space-saving, easy to maintain – SEEPEX wobble pumps with compact block design have a rotating unit with just one joint. They are made to “wobble” by a flexible stator fixed on one side. They are used in virtually all branches of industry to pump liquids of various viscosities – even containing high levels of solids.

Conveying Capacity

≤ 10 m³/h
≤ 44 US gpm

Pressure

≤ 4 bar
≤ 60 psi

A wobble pump is a positive displacement pump that uses a specially designed wobble plate, sometimes called a wobble disk, to move fluids. Instead of rotating smoothly like an impeller, the plate “wobbles” on the shaft. This unique motion creates alternating suction and compression areas inside the pump chamber, allowing fluid to be drawn in through the inlet and discharged through the outlet in a continuous, steady flow.

These pumps are valued for their versatility and gentle handling of fluids. Because the wobbling motion produces smooth pumping action with little shear, they are ideal for moving viscous products or liquids containing soft solids, such as creams, syrups, sauces, or slurries. Their self-priming capability and relatively simple design make them efficient, compact, and reliable in industries that require consistent flow without damaging the product.Wobble pumps are widely used in food and beverage, cosmetics, chemical processing, and wastewater applications. Compared to other positive displacement pumps, they often stand out for their compact build and ability to handle thicker or more delicate fluids without clogging or breakdown. This makes them a practical alternative to lobe or progressive cavity pumps when space, simplicity, and gentle pumping are priorities.

SEEPEX wobble-stator pumps are economical. They are used for applications where flows are too low or viscosities are too high for centrifugal pumps.

Unlike most rotary PD pumps they can handle thin fluids like water and alcohol, while having a very low NPSHr and high suction lift capabilities. They are often used for transferring applications of polyelectrolytes, sludge from municipalities or painting plants, machine coolants for grinding or polishing and EDM devices that are solids laden.

They are perfect for a variety of utility applications where pumps are required to be versatile and portable. They consume less energy than air operated pumps, which often freeze up in humid conditions. They are much more durable than sliding vane, gear, hose or diaphragm pumps.

BW pumps are just a small step below the tough N pumps that are used for some of the most demanding jobs in the industry but are less expensive and easier to install and maintain.

  • Rotating unit with only one joint
  • Easy to maintain and economical due to the simple pump design
  • Quick and inexpensive replacement of the conveying elements due to a rotating unit with only one joint
  • Space-saving via a short, compact design with directly flange-mounted drive (block type)
  • BW range with flexible stator secured on one side
  • Enhanced design with improved NPSHr capabilities
  • More durable than competitor’s designs with “umbrella-type” wobble stators

SEEPEX wobble-stator pumps are designed with efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness in mind, making them a smart choice across industries. Their easy maintenance design allows for quick replacement of conveying elements, thanks to a rotating unit with only one joint. This not only reduces downtime but also simplifies servicing, ensuring reliable operation with minimal effort.

The space-saving construction is another key advantage, featuring a short, compact build with a directly flange-mounted drive that eliminates the need for a protective frame. Businesses also benefit from reduced operating costs, since quick replacements keep maintenance expenses low and extend pump life. With their budget-friendly pricing, these pumps provide excellent value while still delivering top-tier performance.

Built to last, they meet the highest quality standards through robust engineering, wobble stators, and containment cup design. Together, these features make SEEPEX wobble-stator pumps an ideal solution for transferring liquids reliably, economically, and within tight spaces.
